A Fresh Start

This client moved into their new home with nothing on their windows. Here’s where I come in! With a blank canvas to work with, and a lot of discussion, we were able to come up with a concept as to what would suit the space and what would work for the client as well.

Entering the front door you’re welcomed into the open plan living, kitchen and dining area. To create a flow in this space, having a similar colour palette was the ideal choice. With the living having a large north facing sliding door and a neighbour towards the back, a double track system with a sheer and separate lining was the perfect choice. This allowed the client to have privacy and filter the light coming through, it also dressed the space beautifully. Moving into the dining and kitchen, to keep the wall space free for the clients personal items, rollerblinds were installed inside the windows for a minimal design approach. For their privacy, double brackets were used to combine a blockout and sunscreen fabric on the windows adjacent to the neighbouring properties. For added convenience, these blinds are motorised!

The guest bedrooms also feature motorised blinds, paired with unlined voiles in a complimentary colour to the blind fabric. Due to the bedrooms being visible from the street and having the afternoon sun, the voiles in these rooms allowed for privacy and filtered light. They also dress the windows so nicely.

Moving into the Master Bedroom, a double bracket rollerblind is featured above the bed with a blockout and light filtering fabric. To compliment the colour of the blinds, a light grey sheer fabric with an embroidered design are used on the window and door as a drape with an Inverted Pleat Heading. This heading style is a very popular choice in modern homes for the flat appearance when the drapes are closed.
